Phase Two Checklist
On Wednesday, June 3 Executive Order 20-139 was executed by Gov. Ron DeSantis at 9:49 a.m., which outlines the protocol and operational guidelines for Phase Two. The purpose of Executive Order 20-139 is to provide restrictions and guidelines for the continued reopening of the government and businesses statewide. As stated in Executive Order 20-139, Phase Two of the plan for reopenings will be effective statewide this Friday, June 5, at 12:01 a.m., until the end of the month.
During this 12:00 p.m. press conference held at Universal Orlando Resort, Gov. DeSantis discussed the protocol and operational guidelines outlined in Executive Order 20-139 for Phase Two.
Important guidelines for Phase Two Reopening:
- Restaurants may submit their social distancing protocol.
- Vendors, such as restaurants, bars, and pubs, that are licensed to sell alcoholic beverages may operate at 50% capacity. Nightclubs remain closed.
- Bar areas may be open for customer seating.
- Retail may operate at full capacity.
- Gyms may operate at full capacity.
- Entertainment businesses, such as bowling alleys and movie theaters, may now operate at 50% full capacity.
- Personal services and businesses, such as tanning salons and tattoo parlors, may operate while following guidelines.
Important advice to take into consideration:
- Continue to limit exposure, especially around seniors (65+)
- It is strongly recommended for seniors (65+) and individuals with a significant underlying medical condition to avoid crowds and limit their risk of being exposed to COVID-19.
- It is highly recommended and strongly encouraged for group gatherings to have 50 or fewer individuals.
- All employees who work in long-term care facilities should be tested for COVID-19 routinely.
It is mandatory for all businesses to follow guidelines and sanitation protocol from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the FDOH.
