The first case of coronavirus in Volusia County has been discovered.

Florida Health announced yesterday, Saturday March 7, that a “66-year old female in Volusia County has been identified as a presumptive positive. This person is isolated and will continue to remain isolated until cleared by public health officials. She has a history of recent travel outside of the United States.”

As students return to campus from spring break, they should monitor their health. If a student shows any signs of flu-like symptoms, Stetson Communications urges the student to visit Health Services or go to their health care provider for assistance.
