- Gov. Ron DeSantis attended a news conference with officials from the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Jimenez at the Miami-Dade Emergency Operations Center. The purpose of this news conference was to highlight the statewide protocol for this hurricane season created by The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM)
- The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), FEMA, and the American Red Cross provided guidance for the protocol.
- FDEM is supplying 10 million masks to shelters, 50 generators, and collaborating with Honeywell, a technological corporation, to supply 12 million N95 masks,.

“Three UCF Football Players Tested Positive For COVID-19”

- Recently, after 60 student-athletes returned to the University of Central Florida for optional training, three football players from the university tested positive for COVID-19. For the next two weeks, these three football players will be isolated and will not be participating in training until they test negative. Football players that were in close proximity are being notified.
