- During a press conference, Gov.DeSantis and Education Commissioner Richard Corocan, announced recommendations for safely reopening the education system and reopening strategies for school administrators to follow to ensure safety.
- Summer session two – Classes should remain online.
- Fall semester – Campuses may reopen at full capacity for 2020-2021 academic year.
- Approximately $475 million has been allocated to Florida for financial assistance through the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
