  • Avengers: Endgame

On April 26, 2019, Marvel fans are in for a wild ride with the release of the closing film of the Avengers era as we know it. This film will be released almost exactly a year later than the release date of Avengers: Infinity War. With that being said, this film will hopefully provide closure for fans who were left with the disaster of a cliffhanger from its predecessor. How will the Avengers manage to fix their world after half of the world population was snapped out of existence by Thanos? All we can do is wait and see. (Rated PG-13)

  1.     Pokémon Detective Pikachu

Longtime followers of the Pokémon franchise and newcomers alike are in for a treat with this new film set to release on May 10, 2019.  This comedy and mystery film is based off of the video game that was released in 2016 under the same name. Its story will follow the journey of Tim Goodman, son of a famous detective, and Detective Pikachu, voiced by Ryan Reynolds, as they work together to solve the mystery of Tim’s missing father. As the pair dives deeper into the investigation, they uncover more than they bargained for with the discovery of a threat to the Pokémon universe.  (Rated PG-13)

  1.      How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Nine years later, the final installment of the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy will hit screens on February 22, 2019. After the events of the previous film, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Hiccup continues to rescue dragons in order to build up a utopia for both humans and dragons. This idea, however, is hindered by overcrowding, so Hiccup hopes to uncover the “Hidden World” his father told him about in order to provide dragons a safe haven. In between that complication, warlords are actively searching to capture Toothless, Hiccup’s dragon, in order to use him as a weapon. It’s a story that is engaging for younger and older audiences alike!  (Rated PG)

  1.    Dumbo

Directed by Tim Burton, this remake of the 1941 Disney classic will reach cinemas March 29, 2019. The live-action film will follow the magical story of Dumbo, the flying elephant and a circus struggling to survive. A heartwarming story, Dumbo will entice the nostalgia of a Disney Classic for older viewers as well as help deliver a timeless adventure to new members of the audience. (Rated PG)

  1. Toy Story 4

The fourth installment to Pixar’s Toy Story series will be released on June 21, 2019. The film will pick up where Toy Story 3 left off: with Sheriff Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), and other toy friends being given to Bonnie Anderson by their original owner, Andy Davis. The film will feature returning cast members such as Annie Potts and Joan Cusack, while also welcoming new faces by the names of Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, and Keanu Reeves. The toys’ newest adventure is sure to please audiences, especially those who have grown up with the franchise. (Rated G)
