BREAKING: Stetson Returns to Tier 1 Effective Immediately

As of 4:23 pm, Nov 3, the Stetson community received an email from Lua Hancock, Stetson’s Vice President for Campus Life and Student Success, notifying the community of the return to Tier 1, effective immediately.

 

Approved classroom programming is limited to 25 or fewer in approved spaces only. All other in person gatherings ON OR OFF CAMPUS are limited to 10 or fewer individuals. No Stetson guests or non-Stetson visitors are allowed in residence halls or campus apartments except for move out which is limited to two people. No food at events or within office departments.

 

There will be free rapid antigen testing available on Wednesday Nov. 4 for students and employees. Testing will be located in the Hollis Center Field House from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. This is strongly encouraged. Time slots are filling quickly and the next on campus testing will be Nov. 20.

 

Exceptions to Tier 1

  • Residential community kitchens will remain open for use by one person at a time
  • Homecoming activities will commence as planned
  • With proper safety precautions some previously planned events will continue, such as some post election events, the Black Lives Matter March on Nov. 7, and Late Night Breakfast on Nov. 19
  • Tabling will continue with Tier 2 guidelines
  • Library and other service hours will not change
