Stetson’s Theatre Arts Department is excited to perform and produce two different but equally spectacular plays; they are hopeful and eager to find new audience members and participants!

Showing from October 10 to October 13 is The Lion in Winter, directed by A.J. Garcia. Henry II, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, son Richard the Lion-Hearted and extended family and lovers, render an articulate, witty and darkly comic view of medieval dysfunctional royal families.

Showing from November 21 to November 24 is The Laramie Project, directed by Julia Schmitt. This poignant play portrays the actions of a real life LGBTQ hate crime, drawing on interviews to bring the small town of Laramie and its residents to life.

The theatre department welcomes any and all to audition for the upcoming fall shows. Prepared monologues are not necessary, but be ready to read sides from each show you choose to audition for. Auditions will be held August 26 and August 27 at Second Stage Theatre, located across the street from Chaudoin and Emily Hall. Stetson’s Theatre Arts Department welcomes you and hopes to see you there!
